It’s a new year but it’s the same urgent struggle for democracy. Do you believe you can personally help safeguard democracy in the US?

It doesn’t matter where you live. State legislative chambers safeguard voting rights and, therefore, democracy. There are state legislative mid-term elections being held nationwide on November 3, 2026. But with our Game Changers Giving Circle (GCGC), we narrow our focus to a state that is often not our own – but one in which we can and will have the biggest impact.
The 2026 Big Reveal
MICHIGAN it is! In 2026, we see an opportunity to build a pro-democracy trifecta in Michigan by defending the one-seat Senate majority and flipping four seats in the House. Achieving these goals will be challenging, but crucial to ensure pro-democracy lawmakers have the governing power they need to protect Michiganders from the worst impacts of Trump’s right-wing federal policies.
Our Impact
When you join GCGC you will be supporting Democratic state legislative candidates who can win and safeguard the direction of state government. Collectively we advance democratic policy goals through state elections – protect reproductive rights, expand healthcare rights, defend voting rights, promote gun safety - to list a few. It sounds exciting because it is.
