With Congress’ popularity in a downward spiral, state legislatures are having a moment. It is there, much more so than on Capitol Hill, that the impact on people’s everyday lives will be profound—for good or ill. The Virginia State elections are capturing the nation’s attention as a test for democracy.

Virginia’s off-year elections are being viewed by both parties as a key bellwether test heading into next year’s midterms, as well as a potential indicator for how voters view President Trump. The Game Changers Giving Circle, with The States Project, will zero in on 10 critical districts to maximize the impact of support, knowing that funding is most effective in the closest races where a small number of votes could change the outcome.
